This is the new waterproof version, back after a hiatus.
There is a front pocket for wet gear, with a zipper on the front panel to open the pocket for ventilation - so you keep your wet clothing separated from the dry clothing. The bottom pocket is for dirty stuff like wheels, (fits 2.5 sets). The small internal pocket is for your keys, wallet and phone. The mesh pocket on the face of the bag is for your helmet, with the side sling pockets for your skates - which go in front wheel first, with the boot pointing backward away from your body. |

IL PELOTON TAKES THE CANADA DAY MARATHON!
At the Canada Day Marathon in Cambridge, Ontario, skaters saw near perfect conditions with perfect temperatures and sunny skies.
Il Peloton's Sergio Almeralla took control of the race early on, breaking out at the 15km mark and leaving the pack behind for good. The rest of the peloton had to suffer through some of Speedskateworld.com Peter Doucet's legendary attacks, but the batallion of Schankel's white knights kept him in check and the peloton stayed together until the last lap. In a strong tactical move, Stephane Tremblay and Allain Legacy snuck out on a breakaway; only Constant Montpellier and Jesse Pauley answered in time and it was down to a four-man fight for second place. In the end, youth beat wisdom as Jesse Pauley won out for the sprint. |

UPCOMING EVENT: 24 HOUR INLINE MARATHON AUGUST 7-8 2010
Our next event is the 24 Hour Inline Marathon taking place August 7-8, 2010 at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, where we will have a booth in the exhibitors' village.
Together with Apex Racing Skates, Il Peloton is also sponsoring an elite team. The owners of both companies, Apex's Mathieu Turcotte, and Il Peloton's Sergio Almeralla, will skate on the team. "Its an important part of my business philosophy that I train and compete in the sport", says Sergio. "I need to know how the products I sell perform under real world conditions and how they stand the test of time. Sometimes its not the same as how they are advertised, how they look, or how they feel for the first 15 minutes after they leave the shop." Although Sergio is still highly competitive himself (see the story on his win at the Canada Day Marathon, above), he joins a deep team of racers including Olympic medallist Olivier Jean and Steve Robillard. Sergio is also one of the friendliest elite skaters in the field. Come cheer the team on and drop by the Il Peloton booth and say hello to him. |
