Fair Pricing Policy

We believe that Canadian customers should not pay more than their U.S. counterparts for the same products. We are always working to make sure that our pricing stays competitive within the larger North American market.

In most cases, the products on our site and in our shop are the same or lower than those posted elsewhere on the internet. With some brands and products, however, we just can’t do this. Import costs on skates and skate products can be extremely high and in some cases the margins are too low for us to be able to absorb them.

Rest assured that although these products may look like they cost more at Il Peloton, one you pay import duties and brokerage the difference will more than evaporate. We know because we have tried.

We do not drop ship direct from the factory. We do not understand the business model that sees an intermediary put up a website and then offer no hands-on-service. If you wanted to buy factory direct, why buy from an intermediary? We think it is important to personally verify that there are no problems with what you ordered. We take the time to properly assemble your skates for you before shipping. We do not put ridiculous limitations on returns like refusing returns once the skates have been assembled. After all, you are buying skates and not pieces of skates. And we certainly don’t advertise what seems to be a really low price only to learn that we have switched out the components for cheaper ones that come standard with the package everywhere else.

However, if price is your only consideration, and you are travelling to the U.S. and are willing to broker your own goods across the border, please contact us so that we may provide you with a quote.

And, of course, we carry stock. Because the only way to know whether what you are about to purchase are the best skates for you is to have a skate fitting.


Skate Fitting

If you would like to be properly fitted for a pair of inline speed boots, consider our expert fitting service. We have personally skated on each brand of products we carry, and we have a first-hand understanding of their differences in composition. We can make informed recommendations based on your feet, your budget and your skill level. We have the tools and techniques available to help correct for minor foot and balance problems and have heat-molded hundreds of pairs of boots. We also have a fully-stocked showroom with numerous pairs of
skates in your size for you to try on and compare.

An expert fitting can take up to 2 hours, and costs $75. Your fitting fee is applicable towards any skate purchase from Il Peloton Ltd. in the next 12 months. Our skates also come with an after-sale adjustment service so you can come back for micro-corrections.

If you don’t live in the Ottawa area, our fitting service travels at regular intervals throughout Ontario and Quebec. Please contact us so that we can make an appointment for you. We can also ship several pairs of skates to you which you can try on in your own home, and send back to us what you don’t like. Please note that in all cases our $75 fee applies.



Your satisfaction is our priority. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please let us know within 10 days of placing your order. We will do whatever we can to make it right for you. If an item does not fit, we will swap for the correct size, or take it back, provided that it is unused, is in new condition, and is still in the original packaging. Returns are at customer expense including any brokerage fees for cross-border shipments. A 10% deduction may also be applied to purchases made by credit card to cover the cost of processing and refunding your payment.

As well, special orders, custom orders and closeouts are, unfortunately non-refundable. For hygienic reasons, all skinsuits are also non-refundable.

We also honor all of the manufacturers’ warranties on the products we sell. If you are experiencing a problem with a product that you purchased from us, please let us know as soon as possible. The earlier we are aware that there is problem, the easier it will be for us to fix for you.



Items on our closeouts page are heavily discounted and are final sale. No refunds or exchanges on these so please choose carefully, and don’t hesitate to ask if you have any questions.



We accept: Cheque, Money Order, Bank transfer, Interac E-mail money transfer, Cash, Visa and MasterCard. Our shopping cart is a secure SSL server. However, it does not automatically process your credit card and your card is not charged at the time you place your order. A member of the Il Peloton Crew first verifies your order, makes sure all of the products are in stock, any discounts are applied and that the shipping charges are accurate. In the event of a problem, you will be contacted by our staff.


Shipping/Handling Charges

We do not make money on shipping. All items ship at their actual cost. We have recently made improvements to our shipping calculator, however it still tends to estimate high. You will receive an automatic reduction on your invoice to reflect actual costs. If you are placing your order from overseas, we will contact you and confirm your actual shipping charges and/or provide you with shipping options.

You can also come and pick up your item to eliminate shipping charges. Our warehouse is in Ottawa, Canada. Please contact us for directions and hours. so that we can arrange a time with you that is convenient for pickup. In the event of a return, shipping is not refundable.



If you are not happy with your transaction, please contact us and give us the opportunity to make it right.


Customer Service

Please contact us via email at sales@ilpeloton.com. Except in an emergency, we answer all emails within 1 business day. If you have not received a response from us in a couple of business days, it is most likely because, for some reason, we did not receive your inquiry.

If you are in the Ottawa region, please book an appointment and come visit our show room located at 176 Concord Street South.


Ice Blades

We have the tools and the expertise to properly service your ice blades and help you maintain them for a lifetime of use. Manufacturers of ice blades ship them to us in a fresh-from-the factory state. They must be rockered, bent and sharpened prior to use. We would be pleased to provide any or all of these services to your specifications. Our standard fees are $25 for an initial rockering/radius, $35 for an initial blade bending, and $20 for an initial hand sharpening. If you order any or all of these services at the time you purchase your blades from us, you are eligible for a discount. Just ask and we would be pleased to provide you with more information.


Inventory and online orders

Il Peloton makes every effort to keep available stock updated on our website. Sometimes during the peak season, we may have some discrepencies between our inventory and our website. If for some reason your order is not in stock, you will be contacted prior to processing your order.
